UNIVERSITY OF NOVI SAD BECAME THE MEMBER OF ALLIANCE OF SILK ROAD BUSINESS SCHOOLS (ASR)

The Silk Road countries have a long history of political, economic and cultural exchanges, which sets an outstanding example of international cooperation. With the continuous progress of globalization and adjustment in the ever-changing landscape in world economy, the Silk Road countries are becoming an important engine for global economic development while facing both historical opportunities and challenges. It is becoming a common concern for the Silk Road countries to promote the understanding, communication and cooperation among each other in the new age.

Universities and business school play an important and unique part in the modern advanced education system and the economic development in each country, bearing the historical missions of inheriting business civilization, spreading business knowledge and promoting business cooperation.

Hence Beijing Foreign Studies University has put forward the initiative on the establishment of the Alliance of Silk Road Business Schools (ASR) based on which a platform of business education exchange and cooperation among the Silk Road countries will be built.

As an important communication platform for business schools from the Silk Road countries, the Alliance of Silk Road Business Schools (ASR) will be established based on the principles of liberty, equality, mutual benefit and non-profit, which undertakes missions including: Establishing a cross-border and cross-region mechanism of talents education exchange, Development of students’ potential of internationalization, Setting up a cross-border and cross-region mechanism of faculty exchange, Building a platform of entrepreneur exchange and information sharing of the Silk Road countries.

As one of the initiators of Alliance of Silk Road Business Schools (ASR), University of Novi Sad will take its responsibility in the further development and promotion of the Alliance. University of Novi Sad is planning to initiate certain projects related to higher education, industry and innovation and to provide its contribution in strengthening relationship and cooperation between China and CEEC. At the same time our university will actively participate in all the initiatives coming from the Chinese side.
